Artist Statement
Sandra is an artist working with photography, computer, and painting. She enjoys exploring different perspectives in her own art and providing different art techniques for her student to evolve their own style.Beginning in calligraphy and computer aided design, she gradually transitioned into painting and drawing using oil and sometimes acrylic on canvas as her medium.
For the past several years she was a textile designer and now puts most of her efforts towards art education, writing and making art.
Teaching Philosophy
"I believe the act of making art is a
journey allowing the artist to explore their inner self and our world. I like
to provide a time at the beginning of each class allowing the student to explore and imagine being an artist in a given period of time or civilization. That time is
followed by allowing the student to create wherever their own personal muse may take
them. My classes allow the student to build their focus, motor skills,
and art vocabulary.”
